A dose of nature…

There is nothing quite like, rewilding yourself and getting out to nature. Its funny how we forget our ancestors spent all of their time in the wild, the forests, the bush, the deserts, the mountains and the coastlines. Living in a city, post lockdowns has been MORE then challenging, a feeling of claustrophobia, drained of energy from too much social interaction, all the busy sounds, the roads , its been manic, and therefore i have felt on edge ever since the world opened again. What was i missing? I mean i used to live in this world for so long, but now i am used to silence, i am used to peace and i am used to time being freed up. I was drowning again, feeling flat, feeling sad even, what was it ? What was i needing to lift me back up? A DOSE OF NATURE.

Well as we set off on our first hike (post lockdown) with Wally and my hubby, we were ready to lose ourselves. What can the mother teach me today? What will i learn from her? I tell you there is nothing like it, no massage, no spa date, no therapy that can compare to her. You set your feet into the wild and you are reborn, reborn stronger, happier, full of love and peace. Nature isn’t easy, which is what makes it so therapeutic, our mother sets you up with challenges, mentally, physically, thing you would face in your day to day but the feeling are still familiar. Fear, the thoughts of giving up, the pain, the sweat, the mental challenge that i have no option but to keep on going, a message for life. The air is clean, the road is long but you do it, you take that next step and you push your boundaries, you don’t give up and yet you leave her, feeling replenished, energized and full of joy. Re-wilding is a goal for me, remembering where i come from, from ancient peoples, from wildlings and remembering what they were capable of, out in the elements, what they could learn from the trees, the soil and feeling a deep connection to the earth.

The sound of the forest has a certain calming energy, think of all the meditations you have done , the ocean noises , the rain, the rivers, they are all the soundtrack for relaxation, right? Well there is a reason for that, because nature is in all its might, calming in energy, yes nature is harsh, but it soothes you, its like your soul has come back home for the first time in a long time, you are connected to the vibration of the universe and connection is formed with your roots. So i must say, when it all gets too much, go to her, answer her call, she is waiting for you to come home, to listen to her wisdom, to learn your strengths and face your fears, she is welcoming you with her open arms, and telling you to find her, find her love, reconnect to source and feel energised again.

Thank you Mother nature, Gaia , you have given me life and revitalised me, with love your child.
