After the viral track by Emmy Meli came onto my reel feed on insta, i was empowered to write a blog.
The way the lyrics just made me feel fearless, it reminded me again of the power of words, us ladies we have such a history of negative self talk, well at least i do, and it seems to be a trend amongst my friends. “I AM WOMAN, I AM FEARLESS, I AM SEXY, I’M DEVINE” just wow. I love how those lyrics resonated with me, a moment to myself and a moment with myself to honour myself. Honestly this song set the tone for my week, it really made me feel in control of my life. How often do we wake up feeling less then we are, how often do we tell ourselves how unworthy we are of anything bigger and better then this life in front of us. The words we say to ourselves everyday shape the life we lead and the chances we take, our brains are made to keep us safe, so we automatically reject any changes that seem risky, we analyse risk in everything we do, in every move we make, whether its in relationships or at work, our career moves and lifestyle choices are always followed by a list of pro’s and con’s, we rarely give ourselves the chance to even discover if we are capable of more. I wonder if we just stopped worrying for a minute, and just did, took that leap as soon as our heart leads us, didn’t sit back down and write a list of why not’s, how different each and everyone of us would live, or where we would be in comparison.
Today i am empowered, i reject the norm and i push my boundaries, i have decided i cant live in the dark anymore, for i am woman and i am powerful! Take a look at the opportunities you never sought out or even allowed in, out of fear, fear of something that hasn’t happened yet, you don’t even know if it will, whyyyyyyy?? Come on girls, ladies, women! We are totally capable, a lot of the time we are told we are not, but we are coming into our own, ladies it is time, take your life by the front drivers seat , don’t wait anymore, believe in yourself, tell yourself you are capable and start living your life now.
I am 32 and i have decided its time to let go of past choices, its time to start doing and living my authentic life in all its truth, believe in myself for once, not what others think or expect. I am working on me, i am loving me and i am vibing ladies! Bring it on, work it and just take a risk, please if anything, just 1 thing this week, 1 thing you would normally say no, say yes, and see what happens, take a leap , try something fresh, walk up to that stranger, i don’t know, i just think we are always living for a future and missing opportunity in the now, wake up and feel alive, breathe the air in, take a moment to manifest and then work hard, but live life. Live fearlessly ( ok don’t do anything dumb, right haha i mean within reason, no extreme sports please), live divine, like a goddess, coz you are one. Women are coming into their own, we are finally seeing open forums for communication, the taboo is no longer taboo and you are capable of anything.
Tomorrow morning, remind yourself of your power, coz babe you got it, you got it and you are capable of it all, you are WOMAN!
