Hi there, it’s me, Anita, again. In my previous blogs, I’ve shared my experiences with stress and self-doubt, and how holistic approaches like mindfulness and self-love have helped me on my journey.
But, what does it really mean to love yourself? Does it mean that it comes easily to accept yourself? No, not at all. Loving yourself is a journey, and it’s one that requires work. It means treating ourselves a little kinder every day. It means understanding our thoughts and feelings, and learning to love both our light and our darkness.
As women, we’ve been programmed to believe so many things that just aren’t true. And, unlearning these harmful beliefs is a constant journey. But, it’s worth it. When we understand ourselves, we’re better equipped to handle the stress that life throws our way. We can learn to balance our emotions and understand our triggers.
So, who are we, really? Who is Anita? Without the influence of our parents, without societal expectations, without the mask we put on for others? It’s a question worth exploring. And, for me, I’ve found that connecting with other women and with nature helps me stay connected to who I truly am.
Loving yourself is a never-ending journey. It’s about learning to understand and accept all parts of ourselves, even the parts that scare us. So, let’s keep working on it, and let’s be kinder to ourselves every day. We deserve it.
